Courtesy to Non Muslim Guest: Syedna Abu Huraira رضی اللہ عنہا narrates that once a non muslim came to stay with Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as a guest. The Prophet ﷺ offered him one of his goat’s milk and he drank it. Then he drank the milk of the second goat. This went on till the guest drank the milk of seven goats. (Muslim 2063)
Visiting a Sick Non Believer: Islam teaches its followers to take care of a non believer in times of sickness. This serves as a means to melt away hard feelings and evokes love and consideration on the part of the person who is ill. It also opens up opportunities to invite the non believer towards Islam. Hazrat Anas (RA) narrates that there was a Jewish boy who used to serve the Prophet (SAWW) for the sake of earning his bread. When he became sick, the Prophet ﷺ went to console him during his illness. The Prophet ﷺ sat beside him and said: Come to Islam! The boy looked at his father with questioning eyes. His father said: Abul Qasim, listen to what the Prophet ﷺ of Allah says. The boy read the Kalima and accepted Islam. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ came back from the boy’s place and said: All praise to Allah Subhanawo Taa’la who saved this boy from Hellfire. (Al Bukhaari 1356)
